Our story... we love beach decorating!

Kahuna Bay an Australian brand representing beach living

Located on the Gold Coast, the beach is at our doorstep. Kahuna Bay is a lifestyle brand stocked in around 100 + stores, boutiques and galleries Australia wide.  We sell other brand products in our online boutique.  

We regularly showcase our designs and ranges at leading Australian design and home shows in Sydney and Melbourne with Reed Gift Fairs, and now possibly the Gifts and Home Association (GHA) for the Melbourne, 2010 August show.  Kahuna Bay and Escape to Paradise (designer Sacha Alagich) regularly showcase their complimentary brands together as "sister brands."

Launching next month in June 2010 is our fabulous beach lifestyle "kahuna at home" parties.  We're recruiting energetic and stylish consultants now!

It all started with a little two bedroom dream by the sea... 

"I always dreamed of having a little place by the sea.  I used to call my little place "Crew."  It was yellow and white and had a deck out the front (similar to this photo).  It had timber floors and open style kitchen/living room.  When the sea breeze started up, the floor length cotton curtains would blow like a girls hair in the wind with the smell of my Frangipani tree in it... It was going to be my perfect little beach style cottage. You could even see the water from the front deck.  

In that little house I started experimenting with beach style... and discovered my own style. I experimented with colour, texture, art, soft furnishings, room layout... you name it! I designed a tropical garden and I started to design and re-design homewares.  I discovered the joys of cooking and entertaining for tables of friends.

Decorating really is about creating a comfortable home so life feels good.
