Just a Tuesday

I’ve started looking after stores who stock the Kahuna Bay products in Brisbane… which basically means I get to go hang out in their shops and have a good chat… and a browse!

Today I visited Vanilla House and Miss Opulence.

Miss Opulence is in New Farm and… oh so lovely.  The owner Sue has had a boutique for years and is a pro at styling.  She’s got gorgeous Italian wraps (I know I modelled them for a customer who had a niece who was about my size…) jewellery, our silk scarves and some of our Kahuna Bay Mother of Pearl collection in silverware, photo frames, and candle holders.  Sue also carries our wrap necklaces.  This is a great place if you need to buy a woman a gift… and the coffee next door actually tastes good! Miracle.

In between actually working… I needed to research a friend’s store!

Last night I jumped on Facebook and checking out my friend Judy’s page, I ended up on her blog… If you live in Brisbane or are going to Brisbane you absolutely have to go to Judy’s store Lilly G.

Its amazing. (so amazing that it deserves it’s own sentence.)

I drove around for 30 minutes trying to find it… but that’s just because I’m a bad navigator :-) When I rocked up Judy (the owner & a friend) was just finishing up a photo shoot with Brisbane’s Courier Mail.  She looked great for just getting back from a shopping trip to Hong Kong like yesterday.

Back to work… I know you feel sorry for me that shopping is actually my job… Off to the lovely Vanilla House in Coorparoo, Brisbane.

Coorparoo, Brisbane

The name really says it all, loads of quality homewares in neutrals mixed in with books, accessories, jewellery and clothing.  You can buy the Kahuna Bay range at Vanilla House as well.  This shop has a lovely little cafe next door.  The locals love the boutique with the owner knowing a lot of people in the community after three years there.  I really like this shop.  I spent some time browsing through Ralph Lauren’s Island Life which was pretty groovy. Great place for a girls lunch out…

This blog is changing… I’m going to make it more personal with a lighter style.

I have to say Judy’s blog is so good, I’m changing the Kahuna Bay blog style based on her inspiration.  So thanks Judy!
