Is the art ready to hang when it is shipped? What is the standard way it comes?

All our art is shipped rolled as a standard or flat for small pieces when appropriate.

What do I do with my rolled art when I get it?

It is recommended once you receive your art, you take it to a quality local framer to either have your art framed if it is fine art paper, or have it stretched on "bars"if it is canvas.

You have a choice if you like the look of framed canvas or stretched only canvas. All of our canvas has an edge of extra canvas with room for your framer to "stretch" it. The minimum cost for stretching is usually around $150 on up, depending on your location and the size of your artwork. This is not included in your purchase with Kahuna Bay and is at your own expense.

I thought your art is original? Is it a print?

Our art is hand made, and hand painted using the best professional papers, canvas, pencils, pens and paint. We use a variety of paint including goauche, water colour and acrylic.

The reason we can offer a variety of sizes across multiple countries to suit designer interiors, is because our orginal art is photographed and then goes through the reproduction process. We work with very highly trained and gifted fine art specialists. Our reproduction art is often hard to tell it is not an original.

Originals are available. Please contact us directly.

Will my art be signed?

Most of our art in the current collection is an "open edition" and not signed. Sometimes the original is signed, then it is in the reproduction. Sometimes, depending on the piece a digital signature of Susie's is included.

All original art is signed. It is usually signed in pencil or light pen as Susie doesn't like to mark in a way that takes away from the design intent.

Where do you ship to?

We supply art to Australia, New Zealand the the USA.

If you are in another location, please contact us to chat about your art needs.

Where is your art made?

Made in Australia - Licensed Australian Made

Susie Hambleton primarily paints the original art in Australia. The art is prepared for reproduction in Brisbane, Australia by a leading art specalist using photographic methods. Australian and New Zealand art is printed in Brisbane, Australia and shipped rolled to you.

Made in the USA

Due to an increase in enquiries from the USA, we are now pleased to offer printing in Honolulu, Hawaii with shipping direct to the mainland USA and supporting Hawaiian customers. This has meant our USA customers and designers can more easily access our designs without the very high shipping costs of large rolled art and higher volume orders.

All of our art is made to order. We don't accept returns if you change your mind.

How long does it take to receive my art order?

Reproduction art is made to order either in Brisbane, Australia or Honolulu, Hawaii.

I notice price differences between Australian size art and US size art. Why is this?

There are different prices in each country based on the size of the art reproduction and the type of materials the art is created on.

US art is paid for in US dollars and only "fine art, archival art" is available in the US. There is a different fine art paper and fine art canvas used in the US and Australia. However, both canvases and papers are of the highest standard available for each country.

Decor Art and Fine Art is available in Australia.

Decor art is significantly less expensive than Fine Art, however it is only estimated to have a life of 30 years, unlike Archival with an estimate life of 100 years if kept in good conditions.
